Mobileme Users Get Upgrade To iCloud Scam Emails

From the Apple insider blog we just got to know a new scam used to bait users.

All existing MobileMe users are warned of a fake email from internet fraud sites pretending to Apple upgrade iCloud mail. These scammers steal credit card information. The official word from Apple said, the company will not require users to enter or click on a link to “verify” your credit card information from the existing MobileMe users in order to updgrade…

Here are some screengrabs on how the email will look:

The email provides a link inviting users to “click here to update iCLOUD,” but the link actually directs to “flowerpotss.biz,” where a phony page asks users to supply their credit card information rather than perform a “no charge” sign up.

Be safe and be warned!! :)
