iPad: A new target for hackers

Certainly, the iPad is a real success and sales have exceeded the expectations by Apple and they believe they would run out of stock… but this does not prevent hackers from working hard to target the Apple Tablet fans around the world!

An email is sent from unknown sources which states of an update of iTunes,. It also promises to provide more support and better performance, new features and better security. One of the link redirects users to a page that certainly seems true, but provides direct access to all theirsensitive data. So it is NOT an update to iTunes BUT is a malware.

BitDefender has identified this malicious code as the Backdoor.Bifrose.AADY. The code is injected into the explorer.exe process and opens up a backdoor to access the system and to take control. All your passwords and data are not protected any more!

Mac users are not affected by this Malware.
